Introducing

Agent Buddy

A desk buddy for your AI coding agents.

Your agent is done. Another needs your attention. Did you notice?

Agents work in the background, in terminals and windows you are not looking at. Agent Buddy sits on your desk and tells you what they are doing, at a glance.

It reacts to your agents

Busy, waiting, or done. At a glance.

Agent Buddy shows what each agent is doing, and a small badge shows which agent. When your agents are quiet, it looks around, reacts when you tap it, and takes a nap.

Working

An agent is busy. Your buddy is busy too: focused eyes, orbiting dots, and drifting binary digits.

Needs attention

An agent is waiting for your approval. A curious head tilt and an amber question mark tell you now, not ten minutes later.

Complete

The work is done. A short celebration, then back to idle. Come take a look.

Live demo

Try it. Right here.

This is not a video. It is the same animation that runs on the device, live in your browser. Change the state, add agents, and tap the screen to see how your buddy reacts.

Usage

Tip: tap the screen.

Six agents. One buddy.

Badges show which agent is working, waiting, or done. Sessions from several agents combine into one state.

Little touches.

Tap to say hi

It reacts to your touch with a quick, spring-like recoil.

Usage at a glance

GitHub Copilot AI credits or agent tokens, at the bottom of the screen.

Naps when idle

Drowsy eyelids and drifting Zs after two quiet minutes.

Pick your character.

Your own pack

Built in. The device holds one character at a time, and you can switch over USB or Wi-Fi.

Desktop Agent Buddy

No device? Use your desktop.

The same character, with the same animation, in a small transparent window. Put it beside your editor, your terminal, or on a second screen. Use it with the device, or on its own.

  • The device's own animation. Not a copy. The app runs the firmware's code, and a parity test checks every frame pixel for pixel.
  • Follows the device. The same state and agent badges, from the same companion service.
  • Your choice of look. Show the case around the character, or only the character, straight on your desktop.
  • Optional sounds. The device's sound cues, through your computer.

Make it yours.

How it works.

Three small pieces, all on your computer and your desk.

Hooks

Setup adds a hook to each agent you have. It reports events such as “started a tool”, “needs permission”, and “finished”.

Companion service

Runs in the background. It combines the events into one state, sends it to the device, and serves Settings.

Your buddy

The device, over USB or local Wi-Fi, or the desktop app. Hooks only notify: your agents keep working if your buddy is off.
